The widely used friction clutch is a spring pressed friction clutch (referred to as a friction clutch). The torque emitted by the engine is transmitted to the driven plate through the friction between the flywheel and the contact surface between the pressure plate and the driven plate. When the driver steps on the clutch pedal, through the transmission of the mechanism, the large end of the diaphragm spring drives the pressure plate to move backward, and at this time, the driven part separates from the active part.
